Candle Holders Can Change The Decor Of Your Home

Candle holders have come a long way over the years. At one point in time, there were very few options available. Now, however, they are recognized as a great way to add to the decor of your home.

Actually, candle holders have become so popular that many people use them as decoration although they never actually light the candles. Even unlit candles add beauty and elegance to a room. They somehow suggest the tranquility of the lit flame even when they are not.

Choices abound for candle holders so you may need to narrow down your options. Think about the types of candles you plan on using. The location and the purpose can also dictate what is best.

Many people opt for using tealight candles. These are convenient for many reasons. They will come in their own little tin so they do not tend to be messy. You can get candle holders than have room for just one tealight and spread them out throughout the rooms. Or, you can get a candle holder that holds several tealights which is a nice way to get a lot of light in one place. These are especially nice for use at a dining room table in place of the more traditional tapers.

Tealights are also nice because they do not last more than a few hours. This allows you to change the color and the scent of the candles you are using if you so desire. Even so, they last long enough so that you will not have to replace them during a meal.

For the more traditional dining room look, you will want candle holders for tapers. They do tend to drip wax but may provide a more elegant appearance. These also come in holders for single candles or for several, such as a candelabra design.

The designs available are pretty much endless in variety, as are the materials used. Among the many choices are glass, wrought iron, ceramic and wood. Designs can be as simple as a basic dish, incredibly ornate or pretty much everything in between. Colors are just as varied so you will have no problem finding a candle holder for any and every room.

A variety of sizes is also available. There are candle holders so large they need to be put on the floor. Others are tiny enough for the smallest of shelves. You may want to get a few different sized holders with the same design and arrange them together. Still other holders are meant to be mounted on a wall or hung.

For an option that is different than the norm, try a candle holder that is meant to be filled with water for candles that float. These also can be for just one or several candles and come in many different sizes and shapes. Add fresh flowers to the holder or get floating candles shaped like flowers themselves.

There are candle holders that fit with every type of decor. Changing your candles is a simple and inexpensive way to change the look of a room.

Enhancing the theme of a room is simple when you add fabulous candle holders. When a candle holder is placed in a corner, the glow creates a warm and cozy spot where you can relax.
